The XYZ formula
Google's hiring guidance: write bullets as "Accomplished [X], as measured by [Y], by doing [Z]." Start with a strong verb, name a concrete result with a number, and say how you did it. Every example below follows it — swap in your own metrics.

- Built and shipped a React feature adopted by 40,000 monthly active users within the first quarter, lifting activation 18%.
- Architected an event-driven data pipeline (Kafka + AWS Lambda) that cut end-to-end processing time from 45 minutes to under 4.
Performance & reliability
- Reduced p99 API latency 60% (820ms → 320ms) by adding Redis caching and eliminating N+1 queries.
- Cut infrastructure cost 30% ($18K/month) by right-sizing Kubernetes workloads and introducing spot instances.

Leadership & collaboration
- Led a team of 4 engineers through a monolith-to-microservices migration, improving deploy frequency from weekly to daily.
- Mentored 3 junior engineers with weekly reviews and pairing; two were promoted within a year.
