Common mistakes to avoid
- Writing "Cloud" or "AWS" alone with no services named — ATS keyword filters look for EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and the like.
- Describing duties ("managed cloud infrastructure") instead of outcomes ("migrated 120 VMs, cut spend $42K/year").
- Leaving out cost numbers on a role where FinOps and savings are a primary hiring signal.
- Listing three clouds at equal depth when you only know one well; name a primary cloud and mark the others honestly.
- Using a two-column template that hides half your experience from ATS parsers.
