Where it comes from
Meridian is our take on Jake's Resume, the single-column LaTeX template by Jake Gutierrez that became the de-facto default for new-grad engineering résumés — the one Overleaf and r/EngineeringResumes reach for first. It's itself a second-generation design, built in 2020 on top of Sourabh Bajaj's earlier sb2nov/resume.
The appeal is restraint: an article-class page, tight margins, a centered small-caps name, and section headings underlined by a full-width rule. Every field is selectable text, which is exactly what keyword-scanning parsers want.
We kept its proportions and rhythm and rebuilt it against our own content model, so the same résumé data can flow into any other template here.

How it parses
Single-column and text-only, so applicant tracking systems read it top-to-bottom with nothing to scramble. It's a safe default for almost any role.
