Where it comes from
Abacus is an original house design, not adapted from any upstream template. It emulates the conservative “investment-banking” résumé look — a small-caps name set between double horizontal rules, a serif body, and a rigidly formal structure — that's long been the unwritten standard in finance, consulting, and law.
We drew it from scratch so we could ship that recognizable look while keeping it a clean, single-column, parseable document.
Original house design. Drawn from scratch for Resumodel — no upstream template — and free to use under the builder’s terms.
How it parses
Despite the formal look, it's a single column of plain text, so it parses reliably. Built for finance/consulting/law, where the conservative style is expected.
